Gigabyte has unveiled the new UMPC M700 at the CeBIT 2008. It comes with a 7 inch touchscreen display (1024×600), 1.2Ghz C7-M Via processor, 2GB RAM, 40GB to 60GB of hard drive and it is running on Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. No pricing and availability announced.
According to AppleInsider, it looks like the Apple is developing a new tablet or an UMPC. The project represents its second stab at reinventing the PDA since the Newton met its fate in the late 90’s. The device is said to be slightly bigger than the iPhone today, with DVD-resolution (720×480) and the iPhone touch interface. This new device will appear sometime in Q1 2008.
OQO has upgraded their Model 02 Ultra UMPC with a speedy 1.6GHz processor and now has the choice between a 120GB hard drive or a 32GB SSD. The WWAN in the Model 02 Ultra has also been upgraded to 1.4Mbps EV-DO Rev and instead of pushing up the prices, it drop from $1,499 to $1,299. The updated Model 02 is currently on sale in the UK.
Fujitsu has released the new UMPC called the U810 (or U1010). It is powered by Intel A110 processor and comes with a LCD screen with 1024×600 resolution, Intel TBD video graphics, 945GU Express chipset, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 1.8-inch 4200rpm hard drive, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, QWERTY keyboard, webcam, and running on Windows Vista operating system. The Fujitsu U810 UMPC will be available this coming September for $1000.
Here’s the Tango Wings UMPC powered by VIA C7-M770 processor. It comes with a 6.5” WVGA display, 30GB hard drive, WiFi connectivity, 768MB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, integrated speakers, a webcam, FireWire, VGA, Ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports, audio out, a microphone jack, and an SD/MMC memory card slot. It measures 190mm × 120.8mm × 28.3mm and weighs only 720g. No words on pricing and availability.
This is the US700W UMPC, it is powered by Intel Celeron M (1.06GHz) processor. At just 20.5mm thick, it comes with 1GB of memory, 1024 x 600 LCD display, integrated 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, and 802.11b/g WLAN support and a capacities from 20GB - 60GB HDD for you to choose from. It is powered by 800 MHz Intel ULV processor with 1GB of DDR2 memory and it comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display (1024 x 600), 60GB Hard Drive, 1.3-megapixel camera, 0.3-megapixel-camera for the secondary camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11a/b/g WLAN, HSDPA, WiBro and other multimedia features.

Innowell unveiled its Uren A1 mobile computer for those who want a computer in their car. It is powered by AMD LX800 processor, runs on Windows XP and capable of running multimedia content and also common applications run on a computer like the Microsoft Office. It comes with a 7-inches touchscreen display, SiRFStar III GPS chipset, and HSDPA connectivity support. This Uren A1 will be price approximately $750.
SA1F00, the new mini-PC from Kohjisha Company Japan, this ultra-portable Windows XP device comes with a 7 7-key keyboard, AMD’s 500MHz Geode LX800 CPU, a 7-inch 800×480 touch-sensitive display, up to 1GB of memory and 80GB of storage, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 3-in-1 memory card and CF card slots, and respectable 5-hour battery with a 2.2-hour full recharge or 1.5-hours for 85%. It measures 218 x 163 x 25.4-mm and weighs 960-grams. Kohjisha SA1F00 is available for ¥89,000 (about $754) for the 40GB while ¥109,800 (about $930) for 80GB and MS Office pre-installed.
Raon Vega is the world’s lightest 4.3-inch UMPC, measures in 15.8 x 7.8 x 2.8cm and 480g. It comes with AMD Geode LX800 (500MHz) processor, 512MB of memory, 30GB HDD, and a WXGA (800 x 480) display. It goes on sale later this month and will be priced at $1,173. Vega runs on Windows XP Home Edition. With a standard battery, you’ll get less than two hours’ run time, the spec sheet reveals, but a beefier “bulk battery” will take the total to 5.5 hours
